Sattva Projects Oy
Website redesign project
Sattva Projects Oy is a company that provides project management services related to energy production, mining, industrial and infrastructure projects. The company already had a website, but it needed a revamp. This project was offered in the Implementation of Media Elements and Design study unit at Laurea University of Applied Sciences in autumn 2024, and me and two other students decided to take it.
The new website was built on WordPress, and all edits were made using WordPress' own Gutenberg editor. The site's structure was based on a theme from Astra, and the client provided a lot of content that needed to be included in the new site. Plugins were installed on the site for language switching, cookies, analytics, a FAQ section, and search engine optimization.
My part in building the site was modifying the theme to suit the client's wishes and needs, as well as general quality assurance of the site. I also handled most of the add-on installations and creating external logos. The new site was approximately 70% complete during the fall course, due to scheduling challenges for both the client and the creators. Instructions for the continuation have been created for the next students who take on this project. Both the teacher and the client were satisfied with what our team achieved.
The finished site has not been published yet, but below is a comparison of the old and new homepage, and a few screenshots of the new site.
